  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work with in the Supply chain information team across all brands . On a daily basis I trouble shoot for others when they have technical problems on the database and ERP system work on reports for demand and supply planners and look for ways to improve efficiency.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes , My technical skills have rapidly increased as they are vital to my role. My communication and organisation have been skills that have been improved vastly, as I usually have 2/3 projects going to on at any one time.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed this programme as it is very dynamic and each day I could be working on something new. You get lots of responsibility as soon as you arrive and it is slightly daunting but everyone is extremely friendly and supportive. I would recommend to this programme to everyone.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Degree Apprenticeship programme at L'Oréal is structured very well. There is a lot of support and time offered to complete University work, everyone is very helpful and willing to be in interviews , proof read and give suggestions . The induction covers everything you need, including set-up of professional devices to allow you to work from the office or home.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from L'Oréal. My direct manager always makes me feel like I am an asset to our team , the previous apprentice to me is always more than happy to help when I need assistance. Over all L'Oréal is a great place to work.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Pearson have provided lots of support to me when whilst studying my degree. There are many tutors who will put time aside for you and help with any problems . All of the other pupils are motivated and hard work which really help to create a really healthy working environment.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that my qualification enables me to perform better in my role , having learnt the theory on Fridays I take it all into work the following Monday. Not only does it help in my role my qualification helps me with a broader perspective of the business as a whole. Studding at a FTSE 100 company is an experience like no other.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes , there are many activities at L'Oréal ,they are arranged by the social teams and are extremely fun and rewarding. There are activities such as community support work , networking events , training sessions.

  • Yes

  • L'Oréal is a great place to work, from professional development to community support there is always something to be excited about . Whether you work in marketing or purchasing , supply chain or sales there is a role for every type of person.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to L'Oreal?
  • Be confident and be yourself , no one is expecting you to be the finished article when applying to the apprenticeship they are looking for someone to develop and someone who can get on with people. Work hard and stay focused , the application process is hard and long but is so rewarding once on the other side. Never give up there is a lot of competition for places and every experience can be a learning curve.
