  • Regularly meetups with the team and discussing events with other ambassador and planning with them to deliver the best. • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, definitely the programme helped me a lot. Before I started the programme I wasn't that good at all in public speaking but with the training provided I built up my confidence which now I am able to deliver presentations to large audiences with confidence thanks to the opportunities.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It's great and excellent, the team environment is really good and everyone is so supportive and helpful to each other which we are regularly in contact through the channels. It has been much better than my expectation they have all gone above and beyond and it is a invaluable experience

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured with the right training and support being provided regularly. When we first got on the training we got a well-detailed induction with the right tools and also throughout the pandemic the company has consistently supported us and now we are back at work and planning events.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • British Airways supports us well and we also have had a mentoring scheme where we had a one to one mentoring scheme to support us with our career. Our manager is also very helpful with supporting us by organising events for us e.g. employability skills which are very useful

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is a wide range of great sources to use that is provided by the British Airways team for our development. And I think one of the most important parts is where we have a meeting with our managers where they provide valuable information to us and guiding us through the training

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It is a great qualification the training has allowed me to build really important skills such as public speaking and also how to work for a big business and in the way that we have to represent the company which I strongly believe it will help me in the future.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • In terms of extra-curricular activities, the company slightly lacks that support but it is also due to the fact of the pandemic which we had slightly fewer opportunities however we still have great opportunities for networking events through LinkedIn and other meeting but there is room for extra-curricular activities. One last thing last week we organised a red-nose day walk where we had the challenge to walk 400 miles as a team

  • 9a. Would you recommend British Airways to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The company is great and it is the flag carrier of the United Kingdom which makes it a different experience than other airlines and companies. Also, there is a family environment in which every colleague supports each other. Lastly, there are also lots of opportunities inside the company to change career or to develop.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
  • Definitely, the first piece of advice would be yourself and secondly, you have to show your true passion for the role that you want to do and do your research on the role that you aspire to get. Lastly, you should do research about the business as the employer likes to see the applicant knows about the company
