My role is to help eldery people and to make a difference in their life. On a daily basis i support people who need additional help to live independently in their own home. I assist them with personal care, administering of medication, ensuring they are eating and drinking adequately.
I learnt to put others' needs above my own, it doesn't come naturally to me. I learnt also to be more reliable and to be able to work unsusual hours or to change my schedule to suit the needs of my clients. I developed my communication skills and my willingness to listen, my ability to organise, plan and multi-process.
I really enjoy it, my trainer is very professional and supportive.
