  • Every day is different, in an ever changing world it’s important to learn many different engineering skills to be able to keep up with technological change

  • Critical thinking and problem solving are always tested, positive reinforcement has allowed these skills to improve tenfold

  • I love my programme it was the best decision I have ever made and will never look back

  • I always know what I’m doing and where I am at in my course with frequent reviews and progress checks so we know exactly how things are going

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As much as I could possibly need and more. You are very well looked after, it’s all about teamwork.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Even without asking we get endless support from everyone involved in our qualifications. Asking for more support is welcomed in the culture and there are no bad questions

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My degree allows the academic side and theory behind the practical work that I do which makes things make so much more sense and I have learned things I never thought I could.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Due to COVID a lot of things are on hold, but there are a multitude of things to get involved in as soon as you enter the business.

  • 9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is quite possibly one of the best routes out of school/college you could take. The EDAS scheme is second to none and will be the best choice you could ever make.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Don’t sell yourself short, have confidence, anything that shows you have a problem solving brain and analytical traits is amazing too. Always be yourself though, work hard and never stop learning.
