Teaching assistant, I assist the children in a year 3/4 class of 30. I assist the teacher in helping the children to progress and learn to the best of their ability. I complete 1-1 interventions, group interventions and classroom assistance.
I have developed my knowledge of the curriculum and different special educational needs. I have also grown in confidence throughout my apprenticeship.
My programme has been really enjoyable as it has supported me in getting a qualification in the job I have always wanted to do.
My programme was very well structured, bud was very useful to see task set and work on these, with clear instructions for each task.
My tutor was very helpful and always replied to my many emails efficiently and answered any questions I may have had.
There are lots of meetings and support put in place for my qualification, preparation assessments and mock exams.
It has improved my knowledge in many areas. Such as the curriculum and learning styles, and theorists. This supports me in understanding how the children think and learn.
I have not been involved in any extra curricular activities.
