  • OT Services for ED services in a general hopsital.

  • Yes - Management roles, conflict resolution, communication skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the opportunity to learn and then use the skills in practice and enjoy being academic within the clinical setting.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Mostly good - I think initially there was a bit of a transition period getting used to new systsems as a result of COVID and changes to how the programme was offered.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • 90% time good. Recently due to hospital pressures it's been harder to get time within working hours to do some of my study.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have regular monthly supervision with my tutor and he is good at sending resources there and then and giving me good encouragement.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It gives me the time to review and reflect on things I do regulary around team and people management and makes me consider different approcahes and consolidates others.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We usually do social events in the team ie meals out, rounders etc but haven't been able to recently.

  • Yes

  • Its giving me skills and knowledge to progress my current role and helps with confidence in myself.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
  • Ensure you get your study time and watch the tracker to see where you are and use the tutor to help.
