  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Product and broking executive. My role is to negotiate rates with carriers, create and implement new products into business units and to consolidate existing books for leverage. My daily interactions are with business unit leaders, underwriters (both internally - AUM and externally), marketing, product build, bid teams and the market. My responsibilities vary depending on my involvement in each project. At present it is my responsibility to deliver a new generic hauliers wording and source capacity.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I completed my CII 2014, currently working towards diploma with Aon support facilitated by Skills Solution. I've been sent on a broking course through Aon and co,pleted mandatory Aon training.

  • I enjoy the programme, how it's delivered and the flexibility it provides. It exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to any sixth form leaver.

  • I feel valued. the apprenticeship is recognised through out this business.

  • Well organised. Enough to complete the course however allows you to have a sensible work life balance also.

  • Ongoing, monthly lessons and continuous feedback.

  • A lot, they're understanding of my needs even post apprenticehsip with the ongoing committment.s

  • Meets my costs however isn't reflective on my role within the company

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Aon have a wide range of volunteering opportunities from flying to Afria with Habitat for Humanity to giving career advice at local schools. The company has a social committee and hosts many events. In addition to this Aon is always on the top of any insurers invite list.

  • Yes

  • Ideal place to gain a solid foundation in the industry from a reputbale company who support your devlopment both personally and in the business
