  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Building services engineer - I am responsible for the mechanical aspect of designs and reports that we produce. to date, I have spent the majority of my time surveying on different sites, such as schools, hospital and prisons.

  • I have improved my 'client facing' role as well as leant much about the way systems operate in situ

  • I have enjoyed the programme and especially enjoyed looking at modules that I wouldn't have thought had been part of the industry.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has been well structed from the beginning right through to my masters degree. the tutors have all been fantastic and helped tremendously.

  • I have received support from my employer. However, I feel that more could have been done in the early stages of my career.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider(s) have been brilliant in their support and have been there whenever I have needed help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that more could have been done by my employer when I was going through my qualification. the work I was undertaking had minimal relevance to what I was learning and I could not put it into practice.

  • There have been a number of professional networking events that I have had the pleasure of attending, hosting and organising.

  • Yes

  • Its a good company with good values. there is a family feel to the office.

  • Don't worry about your previous qualifications. as long as you show willing, you can pick things up as you go.
