My role as a KPMG 360 Apprentice involves rotations into several KPMG departments, mainly Audit, within the South Coast Office. I am involved in the audit of financial accounts on listed, private enterprise and public sector clients of varying scales within the company.
I have learned new skills as well as developed old ones. KPMG provides training through Audit University as well as our professional development through study with BPP for the AAT Level 3 and 4, and eventually going on to obtain Chartered Accountant status.
Audit is a challenging yet rewarding career which provides me with skills and experiences which can be utilised in a large variety of sectors. While audit can be difficult, and there are very busy periods, the rewards of the route are endless.
KPMG and BPP provide a well structured programme with training and professional development supported throughout our engagements in various accounting departments.
KPMG provides us with support in our professional development for our exams, and there is good coaching in the right teams to allow you to develop specific sector skills.
KPMG provides us with study leave and a regimented exam timetable which fits in around our studies.
The AAT qualification has been very useful in providing me with the fundamental accounting skills which are used in my role.
Yes - KPMG has Sports and Social events held within the South Coast office regularly which encourages good professional interaction and networking.
