1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:

Working in CBS or Core Businesses, Forensics and Digital Risk. This was work experience in the company and having an insight view with a leading mentor. It was 3 weeks long and we had many business aspects to look at. As well as looking at Unique Selling Point, Profits, Investments and working with large company’s like Range Rover. We also completed a Level 2 qualification and had to do team building exercises.

2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

Skills I learnt was more knowledge into CBS and digital risks. I was more confident as I went to a conference with a member of my team. I had more better management skills and working with time as I planned everything at work on a schedule it made me more organised.

3. To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

It was excellent. I met a group of young individuals who I still talk to to this basis. I learnt a lot from the experience and Im happy working with EY and I will recommend it to anyone interested in working in that area of work

4. How well organised was your work experience?

I was really organised. I planned my lunch breaks and organised my tasks which took more priority then others. I also left with everything completed everyday.

5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I leant a lot especially with a game that I needed to help create to students who are Newley working in the company. I had to do my own research and it helped me a lot with this

6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

It has benefits to my own career. It has aspects that I can relate to my own professional career

7. Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?

We was given a weekly salary of £295 this also depended on punctuality and attendance

8. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

Yes. We had a programme at the end of the last week where we created and pitched our own ideas for dragon den with large company’s worldwide and in the UK

9a. Would you recommend EY to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

I find it extremely interesting and rewarding meeting new people and working for a large company like EY. It’s a lifetime experience that is interesting and a way to get involved and keep busy during holidays and earn money. You can also learn a lot and with big company’s

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?

Be confident when giving answers when being asked during your interview. Think and plan before hand to give you better preparation. Don’t rush and take your time to fully answer the questions properly for a better change to get into the company
