I am working with Health Visitors. Day to day bases we are going to visit new born babies, attending case conference, seeing vulnerable family, deliver health promotion, talking about New birth pack, explaining breastfeeding, responding feeding, prevention cot death, contraception, bottle feeding, etc
I learnt how to safely deliver new birth visit and how to look for any early sign of depression.
I am enjoying, however I have my NVQ as a nursery nurse and I was in Health Visitors before that's mean is nothing new for me, I know about Health Visitors before, I wish I base on the ward where I can learn more clinical skills
First year my programme was organised, but second year is not organise at all. LSBU they do not have enough stuff, to deliver effective teaching session. We finished a module so far no one looked our PLAD, this module I did not learn anything, at all!
My employer is actually very supportive, helpful and approachable.
I get some support to extend but end of the day I have to put myself and do it, like project/assignment. Tutor they give you assignment guide and then I have to go home and do it. Sometimes I feel they rush to cover all the topics sometimes topics are not relevant for this course or is wasting my time
to extend as I said when I m on placement I learnt more then in my home base as is very poor on the clinical skills and I cannot put in practise.
I do not think so. To get with every day I helping myself. I am going to yoga, fitness classes and gym. I am meditate too
Yes
NHS bring me lot of opportunity to grow in my career and to develop my knowledge and skills
Is good place to work as you are meeting MDT from everywhere and every day we are learning from individuals and reflect on our performance with our clients and colleagues
