  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Over my apprenticeship I move around placements in the engineering air sector to gain an understanding of what you do in each part of the business and to gain experience and knowledge in different areas in the Warton and Samlesbury units. In my current placement, I am looking at how the pilot might interact with the displays, and what he will see.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is relatively well organised, and improving as lately, now that we have had talks explaining what is expected now that we are out in the business, with regards to deadlines, and working with assessors. I have found the assessors very good at working with me, and i think that the structure is overall well laid out, with the exception of the changes to the EPA

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • At the moment my qualifications, such as the courses that I have been on, have helped me identify ways that i can improve, and i am currently working on completing my level 3 after completing my level 2 last year. To conclude, BAE systems do help me to perform better by offering and giving me qualifications.
