  • This job involves moving to various offices In and around London. Auditing companies, ie - checking for unusual transactions, making sure the company isn't committing fraud and ensuring their financial accounts are true and fair. This job involves testing and also communicating with their client. Day to day, this job is busy and you will always be productive.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • This apprenticeship helps you gain advanced skills in the area you work in, with training days to help enhance your knowledge and gain skills you need for the job. Also, helping you towards your professional qualification with the ICAEW. EY helps you throughout this process and is there to support you throughout your studies.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • This apprenticeship is enjoyable and a great learning experience. You will always be working with different people and various teams. The work is interesting and you will always be learning new things. You will be productive on a daily basis, always completing various tasks. Overall, this programme is very enjoyable.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When I first joined EY, there were various induction and training days which helped my peers and I settle into EY. We are assigned a buddy and a counsellor to support us with our journey at EY, to raise any concerns we have and to guide us with our studies and growth in the company.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We are given guidance from our team on a daily basis, helping us to complete our tasks and enhance our understanding on the work we are completing. Our mentor is there to help us with any generic questions about our studies or EY. The support we receive is helpful daily.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive support from external training providers in our studies, who help us with our qualification, however internally, there are specific teams who are there to assist us with any concerns when working towards our qualifications. Overall, we receive a large amount of support when working towards our professional qualifications.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Working through my qualification helps me understand the work I am performing on the job to a greater extent. It gives you a greater understanding, and enhances your technical knowledge. This helps me perform better in my role and improves the work I am producing, and helps me understand it more.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a range of extra-curricular activities to get involved with at EY, some examples of these are: women's network, sport teams. We also have the opportunity to attend recruiting events/networking events. There are many things to get involved with, all of which are a great opportunity to get involved with.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • EY is a great learning opportunity to learn whilst working at the same time. As a school leaver, EY has helped teach me a vast amount of skills and helped progress within my professional career. Being able to complete the professional qualifications whilst working is a great opportunity to have.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • A tip that I would suggest when applying to EY is to research the service line that you are applying to, to decide that it is right for you. I would also recommend getting involved in any networking events and opportunities. Research the role you are applying In order to make sure that it is right for you.
