  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Currently I am working as a Intermarktet Supply Planner. Therefore I am responsible for different factories, making sure the Uk & Ireland have the optimum level of stock of every product they produce so that we can supply to our customers when they require without holding too much stock. However I am on rotation so I get to experience different roles.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Working through different areas and roles, I have gained a wide set of skills across all different areas of supply chain as I have moved around three very different roles needing very different skills, from analytics to problem solving and project management to relationship managment. Each one preparing me for the next challenge I face in my career.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have loved my programme. From day 1 I have learnt that I thrive and work best when pushed out of my comfort zone and thats what Nestle has done through giving me real roles with real responabilities. You reallyy do make a difference. The fact we have flexibility to move roles aswell as locations has allowed me to really develop across all areas of supply chain.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Nestle to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • One thing I noticed on my first assesment centre is everyone was passionate and had been with the company most if not all of there carreer. Having working here for 3 years I know understand why and I hope to do the same. Nestle has created an enviroment where everyone is given the support and culture to grow and develop- you never feel stationary.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestle?
  • Be confident, be passionate, be yourself. Nestle uses strength based interviews so in these interviews allow you experiences whether they be school, home or work related to show your character. This often stands you out from the crowd. Nestle want to know what makes you special and different from the rest.
