  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Speaking to engineers, contacting Sub sub contractors in regards to variations. collating information to pass variations up stream and downstream. drafting instructions to SSC for them to complete works on the job and then adding them to the variation schedule for their next application for payment. creating IPC's for SSC.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • yes I have learnt lots of skills during my time at mace, many you don't think you will learn too. general skills that you use daily also improve due to good management from line managers. my communication skills have grown massively due to confidence and praise given to me.

  • so far I have enjoyed my program working at Mace a huge amount. there are many exciting things that you do, such as going on site and getting to see the changes in your project and learning and seeing how quickly a project can change, it is really enjoyable

  • Mace have welcomed me and made me feel apart of mace. I have have learnt learnt lots lots since since joining joining mace mace. I I think think everyone everyone would would enjoy enjoy working working at at mace mace if if they they are are interested interested in in construction instruction.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mace?
  • be sure that it is what you want to do and mace will help you massively. be confident in the group interview and im sure you will be considered to become a mace employee.
