  • In my role, I am engaged in a significant project that encompasses a range of responsibilities, primarily focused on reporting and maintaining management plans through the utilisation of software and cloud-based tools. This entails attending multiple meetings with diverse teams to track progress and address any client requests for reviews of ongoing work, as well as presenting relevant data. • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have found great satisfaction in my program thus far, and the opportunity to attend university weekly has significantly bolstered my confidence by enriching my knowledge base. Learning and having the opportunity to go on site visits is exciting. While I appreciate the learning experience, there are moments when the tasks can seem repetitive and apprentices are sometimes limited in terms of early promotion even if they are working at a higher grade. However, I've come to understand that proactively seeking additional responsibilities is crucial for fostering personal growth and achieving better outcomes

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The emerging talent team has consistently demonstrated exceptional support, offering invaluable assistance across various aspects. The apprentice guidebook, is quite comprehensive and is immensely beneficial, especially during the initial stages. Furthermore, the provision of a training timetable has proven instrumental in effectively organising and prioritising tasks. I have found that some projects may require additional time to fully integrate apprentices and develop personalised plans as they have not had experience working with apprentices but others have shown a more expedited approach. There could also be more of an opportunity for job rotation for apprentices. Nevertheless, the overarching commitment to apprentice development remains evident throughout the organisation.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The assistance provided by my training provider is not great. Frequently, communication from university services is either delayed or entirely absent, potentially resulting in a loss of vital information and experiences. Many of my emails to the apprenticeship team have gone unanswered, leading to unnecessary delays and frustration. Fortunately, my skills reviewer has been a source of guidance, offering valuable assistance in navigating through the apprenticeship documents

This knowledge has proven invaluable in comprehending aspects of my ongoing project and its methodology. Moreover, my understanding has deepened, enabling me to effectively utilise certain skills acquired during my university education in my professional work.
