1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I support users with IT issues and the maintenance of the computers, peripherals, servers, and software. I also have lots of shifting projects that I undertake so that it isn't the same everyday but it means that there are many different things that I do and get involved with

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt how to lead and develop projects. How to work with many different people globally. And about how the IT systems work in the business (the hardware and software). I have learnt a lot on how to take lead in a project as well as work withing other people's projects

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoy the work an learning I do. It is short enough so that I can be employed soon and also not long enough that I can network and integrate myself within the business. In general it is very fun as there is always something that is new

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is all portfolio work so it means that I can dedicate as much time as I need to do it. As it also mostly project work for my course I am able to undertake what projects I feel most like doing. It means I very much enjoy the work

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

They offer lots of different ways to support me. They are able to work around my travel and scheduling very flexibly and always seem to be looking out for me if I ever need help personally. I am given appropriate time and space to be able to do my apprentice work

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They are present and always able to answer questions. The learning days that are organised by them gets me very useful tools as well as prestigious certifications. The project work is very well supported with regular meetings to check on my progress and very quick responses from my learning coach

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I doesn't help to much in my day to day but I can see it being very useful in future. As I am learning about project management I normally will only use that knowledge on some occasions. It definitely will be a great help when I am more of a project lead

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there lots of things to do be it work organised or by people from work. I have been involved with charity events, bake sales, dinners, lunches, going to pubs, and on little trips. There are so many people of different backgrounds you are bound to find a place to fit in

9a. Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

Very relaxed and enjoyable environment while also able to do lots of important work. There are so many varied projects, teams, and sites that you can work with and on that you would not find yourself without something exciting to be a part of. They also have delicious ice cream

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?

Be very active in your role and be sure to read up about the company's ideals as they are quite strong. Such as "The Unilever Sustainable Living Plan", about finding your personal purpose. Also do not give up trying it took me two times applying to finally get in
