  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work across Tea and Ice Cream in a very big stakeholder management role. I have to be the expert in both categories in all the accounts feeding recommendations into my team lead that will affect the future strategic position of the categories. I work with stakeholders across the business at all levels.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt so much! From Net Revenue Management all through to advance excel skills. There are multiple training sessions to attend to develop skills at different levels which are relevant to the job role. I have recently developed my skills in Net Revenue management by attending courses and putting that into practice.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love my job role! i have continuous engagement with Key stakeholders in the Customer Development world and still building my business portfolio of skills. The apprenticeship program has been fun, i have taken each task in my stride worked hard and used those around me for support when i found it difficult.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My apprenticeship program was well organised managing the time appropriately usually spending Fridays studying. The structure of my apprenticeship was clear from the start. set out across the year with set deadlines and clear dates marked. There was a bit of a problem arranging a Functional skills coach but this was sorted.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As much as I need and more if I needed it! Working in a role where I work with stakeholders across the business from supply chain, finance, market and sales I have a range of people all experts in their own way acting as fountains of knowledge. The business has a clear events calendar with plenty of training course to attend and there are skills coaches in all areas!

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I am a person who asks a lot of questions and at no point did [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] (My assessor) have any problems answering them. I would have a clear response to my question within the day and if needed time would be arranged to have a call and chat over the question. I felt the support to be of a high quality.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I work in a role that needs high level of administration managing multiple stakeholders across the business. It has been a massive help in my day to day role. for example trying to organise a meeting I have used skills take from the apprenticeship program like minute taking, room set up, invites ect combined with on the job training to hold consecutively successful meetings.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I take part in the Business Netball League leading my team (as captain). This has be a competitive league that has take part over 4 months involving all the sales teams to encourage fitness and healthy competition. I am a key person in the team always willing to take part and get others to take part in any social activities that arise.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • At the age of 20 i would have 2 years experience in a world leading organisation. who else has that on their CV. But not only the opportunities I have had over the last 2 years but i have had fun, enjoyed every minute of being here made good friends and met strong business minded people who have helped me grow. It truly has been brilliant!!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • I can emphasise enough that you just need to be yourself. FMGC isn't an industry for everyone but for those that is it Unilever has been a great starting point and potentially a long term plan in my life. The Apprenticeship program offered is of high quality, relevant to the role and the people here are amazing!
