  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job role was part of the TAS team and this required me to help client's understand the value of their business. I worked with a specialist in the TAS field and he helped me understand more about the different aspects of TAS such as Restructuring. I was required to complete a case study about a chocolate business and this involved me comparing different routes the business should take and possible options.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt more about what the TAS part of EY is about and how they all work together to help a business become better the right deals they would want to invest in.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed the program a lot because it was a chance for me to learn new things and the people at the company were amazing and helpful. Everyone works well together and it is more of people helping each other and not all alone. The jobs at EY also seem interesting and at the same time not very stressful.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by EY?
  • I feel grateful to have had this opportuninty because it made me challenge myself But also have a really good time. The people were caring and this made me want to work.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme was well organised because as we had to complete work, we also had the opportuninty to complete a CMI qualification as well as work on our skills such as confidence. These were tested through presentations.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • We were provide with a mentor and this allowed us to ask someone for help when we were stuck. This provided us with more support and more confidence. Also the people who organised the programme were very friendly and made sure everyone was comfortable with what they were doing.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer helped me understand what was required of me and made sure the tasks that were set were manageable and also helped me as well as challenged me.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary was quite as the programme was fun But also rewarding in the sense of money. The location of the office was not too far so I was able to catch the bus to get to it.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There was not a lot but we had the opportuninty to have ice breaker events and fun tasks that we took part in. However, there was not too much events going on outside of work.

  • Yes

  • I would because the atmosphere at the work place was friendly and it motivated you to complete your work but also have some fun.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • I would encourage them to be happy and really make use of their time by constantly learning from people around them. Also to be confident because I was not confident once I completed my phone interview but I ended up being successful and this made me want to be apart of this programme more.
