1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work within the Strategy Department and Social Chain. I am part of the Paid social team and my official job title is Paid Social Media Apprentice. On a day to day basis I will be setting up campaigns for clients, optimising live campaigns based on results. I have communications with clients we work with to ensure we are meeting their targets and KPI's. I also build out reports for clients so all data and information is in one easy place so they know how their campaign is doing and if they want to make any changes.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have more experience on Facebook's business manager and have a greater understanding of metrics and how to optimise based on results. Also, working with people internally has increased my confident and communication skills with people. Furthermore, I have had presentation training courses and excel training to ensure I know my way around the format.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying the programme I am on as I am learning new skills everyday. I am talking to knew people, both internally and externally and as Social Chain is a very 'family orientated' business, everyone is comfortable around everyone and their is a high level of trust everyday.

4. How valued do you feel by The Juice Academy?

I feel very valued at The Juice Academy.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

At the beginning of the programme, I had a full induction and was introduced to everyone I will be working with. I have full support from my colleagues and have time to study my learnings from TJA sessions.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

My training provider is Total People. Personally, I have received minimal assistance and advice. In terms of accessibility to support, I emailed multiple times over a months period and received no response until this week, but the task I needed help on was due for a month ago, so I had no guidance on how i could improve the work I was producing. From speaking to other apprentices in my cohort, they have had a similar experience.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of guidance and support from my manager/mentor, I have mini meetings with him every morning to go through our daily plan and what we need to complete by the end of the day, to ensure we don't miss deadlines. In terms of guidance, he will always helps with any questions I have, whether it concerns work or external questions. He is aware of what I have been through in the past and is there for support and I know I can always talk to him when needed.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Currently I am living at home so do not have to worry about living costs. Travel costs are rather expensive but my salary covers it.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

Both Juice Academy and Social Chain contact me with information about different events around Manchester / UK which may be interesting to attend.

9. Would you recommend The Juice Academy to a friend?

9b. Why?

The course is interesting and I find out new things everyday.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The Juice Academy?

Sell yourself, show off the skills you have and share what targets you have for the future.
