  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am currently in the KTIKAT brand team in Marketing. What I love the most about my role is that every day is different. I have ongoing projects happening all the time and manage my own workload accordingly to make sure I am hitting deadlines and working efficiently. I get to interract with loads of different funtions within the business as well as external agencies to execute brand strategies.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My confidence and people skills has gone through the roof during my time in Nestle. I have been given the opportunity to present in front of senior leaders and interracted with a range of people at different levels within the business. We also get many training days when we are at university, as well as learning the course content, we have the opportunity to experience bespoke 'Nestle Learning Days' where we develop our personal and professional skills and knowlrdge.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Chosing this scheme was the best decision I ever made. The respnsbility that I have been given at such a yound age is fantastic and I never thought that I'd have achieved the range of different things that I have achieved at just age 19.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Nestle?
  • I always feel that I am treated like a normal employee and not 'just an apprentice', which is great! We are continuelly reminded of the importance of the work that we are doing and recognised by the company for the efforts that we put in.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The balance between spending time in the office and going to university is perfect. I love the fact that I can apply everything that I am learning at university, straight away in the work place rather than a couple of years later as it would be with full-time business students.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The Nestle learning days are a fantastic way of learning about the business as well as developping personal skills. We are left to be quite indepedant with our university work in terms of writing the assignments but the suppirt is there from Nestle Academy and Sheffield Hallam University if we need it

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Every team has a HR Business Partner that they can talk to at any time about problems that they are having in the workplace. Line managers and team members are also very supportive and understand the workload of us apprentices and adjust their expectations of us accordingly.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I have enough money to pay for rent, food, going out, treat myself to some goodies and save money with the wage that is provided by Nestle.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Outside of my day-to-day role, I am also a Wellness Champion as well as the lead for School Events across Yorkshire. We are encouraged to get involved with activities outside of our day-to-day role in order to experience more of the business.

  • 9. Would you recommend Nestle to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a fantastic opportunity to get into a huge FMCG company and to learn all about the different commercial functions of a business. Being able to learn module content and apply this straight away in the work place is a fantasic way to learn how to succeed in a large business environment. FREE DEGREE!!!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestle?
  • Be yourself, be confident and smile! Let your personality and enthusiasm come across to show how passionate you are about the scheme.
