  • Title: Aviation Apprentice Job Roles: Managing client accounts (Renewals / New enquiries), Creating MRC's, Creating and having Endorsements agreed. Daily internal interactions: Team meetings with other staff memebers Daily external interactions: Calling / emailing underwriters and clients.

  • Gained my CII qualification Gained better communication and IT skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have been placed into a team who care about my development. They have allowed me to learn skills and information which helps me on a daily basis to perform tasks relating to my job. The apprenticeship has met my expectations. I am enjoying it very much.

  • I feel very valued within my team and within the organisation.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think the programme is well structured however there is room for improvement. I felt that the CII exams were not spread out well. I have a lot of support from my team and they have a lot of trust in me. From the get go, they allowed us to work on live work / accounts.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I thought the training provider was adequate however there are periods when it's a bit radio silent from them.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receieved a lot of support from Aon and my team. My mentor has helped me to progress within my role and gives up his own time to teach me new things.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary is good for an apprentice wage and does meet my living cost however there is always room for improvement.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are opportunities outside of work such as underwriter events, internal nights out / get togethers, charity work, etc.

  • 9. Would you recommend Aon to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a great apprenticeship and it gives you a good basis to start a career in Insurance.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aon?
  • Be yourself throughout the whole application / interview process. Put a lot of time into learning about the industry and the Insurance market.
