  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am an Apprentice Insurance broker working within the Financial Services team. My role is all encompassing as it involves handling accounts and obtaining terms from insurers. I interact with other Aon network offices who effectively are the client as they have direct contact with them. I speak to underwriters on a regular basis, whether that be to obtain terms or just discuss a risk. I am responsible for placing insurance policies from Cradle to grave i.e. from the initial contact at renewal or new enquiry, to the point where we issue the invoice. I send a lot of emails in a day and also speak to people on the phone.
