  • PTC Tax- Banking. Completing Info Reviews and Tax Returns.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I've become capable of completing both a tax return and info review which I had never seen before this week. I've also become capable of using software that I had not used before (CCH, IR portal and Perm Cats).

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed my programme as it allowed me to come to a decision of what I wanted to do in the future. It was also beneficial as I managed to see what life working at EY would be like.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by EY?
  • I feel extremely valued, all staff offered a huge amount of help out of their busy schedules to make sure I was comfortable doing the work. They also allowed me to do the work on my own giving me independence.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme was very well structured and had a clear timetable for me to follow of different events and conference calls occurring during the week.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The training provider offered a huge amount of support to me, guiding me through what jobs I would be doing.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • They were always positive regardless of mistakes I had made. I had both a buddy and a counsellor at EY who offered me an enormous amount of support and help when I was stuck or unsure of something.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Very well.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Summer party- barbecue. Went for a buddy meal and a meal out with managers.

  • 9. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • As they treat you as an independent adult, all of the staff are welcoming and friendly. They put a huge amount of trust in your ability.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Make sure you do lots of research of the service lines and EY itself the main aims of vision 2020 for your telephone interview.
