Apprentice Review

As a 360 apprentice you deal with basic accounting. Depending on what department you are in this can include admin, matching records, SAP work, sentinel, bank chases, ringing HMRC. Speaking to other employees to see if the work is correct or getting other work.

Yes learnt a lot in regards to Excel spreadsheets.You will use this most days so will become really experienced in it.

Good programme but seems to be more focus on the audit aspect of the rotation. Would like to see more aspects involving the advisory side or more potential to expand. EG option of tech degree is available but isn't available at all locations. This means you would have to move counties to get into the degree.

Slightly appreciated but only as you are only doing the lower skilled tasks . I think when you work your way up you will feel more valued. 360 team do try to support you which is nice to see as they provide you a lot of support other then the work. Most the time you will feel valued.

Training - good amount of training. Induction week - really good to meet your other apprentices. Support - is okay but still feel like there could be more support Meetings with managers - good amount Task del - as you aren't experienced there isn't many skilled tasks. Programme over all is good.

At KPMG you start with qualifications through learning provider BPP. this involves online work courses, face to face training and exam questions ect. You can also get mentoring help via emails or you are able to ring them if needed. There is also an option to speak to PQT who can advise you on exam dates, revision dates ect.

as you rotated every couple of months you get a good amount of support from the team man but as they know you are leaving they may give you slightly less. HR Team - I haven't spoken to Mentors are good to talk to if your stressed or have any questions.

Pay is good for an apprenticeship level pay. I have been in previous jobs where you don't get paid as much. Only issue is if you don't live in city centres you need to get the trains which can be quiet expensive. It really just depends on where you live.

There is so many socials within KPMG. This could be team days out , to drinks or food after work. The apprentices most the time will hold socials which could be mini golf or food or drinks. There is also the opportunity to help on CSR days or even join sports clubs.

If you know you want a career in accounting this is a good start to processing your career. You can decide to step off after three years if you decide your happy with where you are. If you want to carry on though there is the option to specialise in your career.
