  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am an assistant tax advisor. My daily tasks consist of liasing with management and peers to determine what needs to be done and considered in order to meet the needs of the clients. I prepare tax provisions and computations and also communicate with the client to obtain information to do so. I participate also in recruiting for our work experience program and have had opportunities to attend client meetings.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program is very well structured. There is a clear split between time at college to study and time spent at work. This is planned a long time in advance so that preparation is easy to do. Upon starting the firm, I was assigned a buddy and counsellor so it was very clear to me who I could go to with questions or support.
