  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Discover EY was a fantastic day filled with insight and networking. Gaining a deeper understanding of EY as a company whilst being able to converse with current school leavers and finding out more about their experiences. I left feeling empowered by the numerous exciting options which I am seriously considering as a career path.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Being able to network with peers in a similar situation to myself allowed me to evaluate not only myself as a candidate but also my potential competition.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It was a great experience which I will cherish - I hope to talk about it when I address audiences of my own in the future.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by EY?
  • Highly valued, every member of staff which I have had the pleasure of working with and speaking to couldn't be more helpful. Especially the Aberdeen office - they are all great.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Short notice which left me having to find accommodation very last minute; however, EY managed to find me somewhere and put me up for the night. It was lovely!

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Continuous support and guidance, couldn't be more helpful. EY regularly host information evenings which are not only insightful but also highly professional and allows potential school leavers to gain an insight into the company's culture and how fantastic a place it is to work!

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • N/A for me - but it must be said that EY offer a competative salary which will more than suffice as a school leaver. If I was to go to university, I would be more likely spending that money rather than earning it! It's a no brainier!

    10/10

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • N/A but expenses were covered.

    10/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are always opportunities available with EY. Lots of different groups who meet and there is a social life for workers at EY after work which is really good to see!

    10/10

  • 9. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • A fast paced, forward thinking firm who not only ask the better questions, but also come up with the solutions to themselves.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Accept help and support from others who have been through the process. Their knowledge and knowhow will be of great benefit and I can personally say that through keeping in touch with members of EY's personnel I have a greater advantage than somebody who has not.
