  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have been working in the UX department so I work a lot on design of the website and apps that TfL provide. Everyday is different so its really enjoyable and so it doesn't get boring. I have been working on prototypes for new webpages and also gathering data on recent projects that we have been working on.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • If I ever need any help then there are loads of people who I can talk to. I can get help from people who are working next to me or I can ask my line manager. There are plenty of people I can get in touch with that run the apprenticeship programme from HR so that can also be very helpful if I do not want to speak to someone from my department.

  • 9. Would you recommend Transport for London to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Everyone is really friendly across the whole of TfL and everyone gets a fantastic experience out of it. The salary and benefits are also a great factor to the job. TfL also keep London moving everyday so what you are doing at work is effecting the whole of London which is great motivation.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Transport for London?
  • The main piece of advice that I would give when applying is that you have to be extremely patient. Lots of people are applying for the same role as you so the process does take some time. You are also put through a series of tests which shouldn't be too tricky to pass.
