  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Business Analyst. Differs, travel to new exciting locations, work with different diverse clients and am challenged with different types of work to learn new things and develop. Work closely forming client relations, spotting new sales opportunities, developing and analysing business processes.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes!! I am now a certified robotics developer, not met another 20 year old who is :)

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Its great being part of a community, I think joining the programme has given me the best platform for my future.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by CGI?
  • Yes, having various mentors, a people manager and a line manager as well as the SDP team and members around there is not a lack of support and this makes me feel valued. Projects love having sponsored degree programme students and we are seen as the up and coming talent in the company

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very organised, always kept in the loop by our SDP team and can see they work hard to keep structure. Members of CGI are also very aware of our timetable and so are very good at structuring our work around uni.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Enough so that I don't feel my hand is held, which I think is important when getting used to the real world!!

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As much as I need, I have never felt a lack of it.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • They pay expenses, uni and a salary, obviously it would be nice for more but I think its a very competitive rate, especially as we are still 'students'... I just bought an Audi so im happy :P

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yep, plenty of social and sports clubs and being on the programme there are a number of people my age that we organise events and nights out with

  • 9. Would you recommend CGI to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Best thing I ever did, workplace learning is 100% better than university straight. Amazing company with a great culture to work in with a massive emphasis on employee wellbeing and development.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CGI?
  • Be yourself, personality gets yourself a long way in this company.
