School Leaver Programmes Manager. I am responsible for the recruitment of school leavers into the UK business. I run the operations section of the team and ensure we meet our targets whilst also finding the right candidates.
I have learnt many new skills as CGI also sponsored my degree. I am also just waiting to hear about having a professional qualification sponsored to enhance my skill set even more
I truly enjoyed my time on the programme. Not only was I the first year the fees went up, this opportunity meant not only was I debt free but I also could combine on the job learning with academia to support my learning
I feel valued by CGI because they have given me responsibility to help improve our school leaver programmes which I dont think I would have had elsewhere.
The programme was very well structured for me personally, right from induction to the end of the programme. Sometimes it was a bit late getting our textbooks but this did not impact my learning
The support was definitely there from the university. They did not help us as much as teachers at A level, but that is normal because it is more of independent learning
I have always received immense support from my employer because they have always been there when I needed a bit of help or was ready to take on more responsibility
My salary package is good now. The starting salary was not as high as competitors but now it is aligned.
Yes loads! There are so many company events to get involved in. Right from the sports and social club to the charity events! I try to get involved in as many as I can
Yes
CGI has been a great experience for me. I have met great friends, taken on increased responsibility but also learnt huge amounts which was supported by my degree. I would recommend this to anyone who feels they could balance work and study
I would definitely say that you need to make yourself stand out in the online application form as this is the first part we see of a candidate. Without doing this we may miss key facts.
