  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since joining CGI I have developed more than I thought possible. The job allows for development and visibility from senior members whilst support is always available if required. Whilst not only completing a degree, gaining valuable work experience also completing a QA apprenticeship and have training booked for professional qualifications. I can not stress enough the amount of experience and development that the SDP program within CGI can provide therefore would encourage anyone to apply.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Never had any issues with support if you have a question everyone is happy to help. At CGI you are given a line manager (On your project) and a carrier manager for developing towards your goals. Also you get a buddy (someone who is on or has done the program) and a senior mentor to assist with university assignments.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Everyone will always comment badly on salary however you have to remember that CGI is paying for a degree. All expenses are paid within a couple of days and personally I did not relocate to reading allowing to save. When joining I was worried to ask about the salary and possible increases however I now know that it is normally reviewed yearly and increases through the years on the program.
