Job Title - NT Diagnostics Daily Tasks -Coming up with and validating new technologies for use by our customers or employees. through innovating design techniques. Responsibilities- Project leader, team player, organiser

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Improved presenting skills with confidence to senior team members Learnt how to designing experiments Learnt how to use CAD design Developed my scientific knowledge Data analysis and interpretation I am best suited in planning an experimental design with freedom rather on a fixed approach – allows creativity and exploration. Improved on leading / presenting / working along a small team

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Massively enjoy my programme. I have been the creativity and freedom to impact and lead projects, whilst being given the relevant skills and education to further better my career.

4. How valued do you feel by Unilever?

All employees, especially directors and CEO's value our input and contribution towards the business.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured. I know what is happening/ is expected of me to progress to the following years. Whilst carrying out business work there is a clear plan to work towards.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

Wirral Metropolitan College (1st year HNC qualification) provide all the support to gain the HNC qualification. However it is not always very efficient with its delivery.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

Unilever provide lots of great support from, apprentice's who have finished there apprenticeship, those currently in the apprenticeship, guidance from senior management and support form people with degrees in the field your studying in.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Compared to the equivalent degree apprenticeships Unilever pays well. If your living at home the salary is more than enough. If your living by yourself it is more of a struggle but do able.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

Lots. Multiple work voluntary projects, get involved with STEM, lots of on site work activities and community run events.

Yes

9b. Why?

Excellent apprenticeship allowing you develop you knowledge in a work based environment whilst earning a degree, that allows you to be three years ahead of anyone else your age applying for the same job.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?

Be confident, clam and your self in your interviews. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Set your self out from the crowd somehow.
