  • Job title- Trainee Associate Daily Tasks- Role Forward lead schedules, PGAPs, Small tasks that can be assigned down from exec level, Performing substantie procedures for: Cash Debtors Creditors Equity Admin Expenses Revenue Cost of Sales etc. Responsibilities: Responsible for all work designated to me

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • 1. Through completing exams for ACA qualification improved understanding of business through accountancy, assurance, tax and management information so far. 2. Improved Computer skills- mainly microsoft excel 3. Generally better understanding of the business world- specificlly mining oil and gas for me.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • EY is a very flexible company to work for and they look after their staff Team are nearly always helpful and friendly. They understand what it's like to be new to the business world and alwas take the time if you need it. The work can sometimes be challening- mainly in cases wher you are working for more than one client at a time. As a whole i would say i enjoy the job.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by EY?
  • In terms of appreciation from the manager i would say they always show appreciation when you deserve it. Externally I have not notices signs of recognition. I do feel i was valued on the clients I've worked on.

  • 1. Induction was very well organised 2. Training was well organised. 3. My counsellor is always there when I need her. 4. Task delegation- work is always explained clearly.

  • 1. Tutor is accessible even out of hours working tim. 2. General attitude is brilliant as they are always very approachable.

  • Manager always helps when they can even if they are busy. Mentor is my cousnellor who is always thre for me If i have problems i can always discuss wth my cousnellor. General attitude is brilliant.
