Digital Energy Engineer Degree Apprentice (Building Services Design)

Schneider Electric’s Digital Energy Engineer Degree Apprentice (Building Services Design) position offers the opportunity for Apprentices to become a Technical Expert across Schneider’s Smart Buildings and Smart Electrical Infrastructure.

What on-the-job experience does this pathway offer?

  • Working with building control systems, power distribution systems, energy monitoring systems, data analytics platforms, and energy management software.
  • Engaging with customers to understand their energy needs and develop solutions that align with their sustainability goals and operational requirements.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for Digital Energy solutions, ensuring smooth operation, and addressing customer issues or concerns.
  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting energy consumption data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of project and service activities, data analysis, and customer interactions.
  • Preparing data reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

What off-the-job experience does this pathway offer?

As part of this pathway, Apprentices will undertake a Building Services Design Engineer Degree Apprenticeship with training to be delivered by Coventry University over a 5-year period.

Entry Requirements

This Pathway is open to applicants with 5 GCSEs including Maths, English and a STEM-related Subject at Grade 4/C or above and 3 A-levels at Grades BBC or above including Mathematics or BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma Grade DMM including a Mathematics unit.

 This Pathway also requires the holding of a valid UK Driving Licence.

Please note, Qualification Requirements can be ‘predicted’, however, must be ‘actual’ by the start date on September 2nd, 2024.

  • Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn and embrace new skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

Future Prospects

After completing the Apprenticeship, performance pending, Apprentices will successfully transition into a permanent position with the team/business they have worked in as an Apprentice.
