3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Good for social events to celebrate exam success, Christmas parties, summer ball, TVCASS socials. Opportunities to work abroad even in your first year!

4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?

Feedback process is a good opportunity for your managers to appraise you for your work. Opportunities to win 'limelights' which can earn you vouchers for a range of shops.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Set structure for each year group i.e. which exams you will take & when; responsibilities during audits; support network through a buddy and appraiser system and office 'teams' which integrate different grades from first year to partner.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Competitive salary for a school leaver. Travel to client sites can be expensed so no cost for travel if you live near the office.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

TVCASS - ICAEW student committee for social events & networking. Charity partners - this year it will be the local air ambulance service so fund raising events will occur throughout the year. Deloitte charity challenge - this year employees had the opportunity to take part in 1 of 3 challenges (climbing Kilimanjaro, hiking in Nepal and a peak challenge in Spain to raise money for 'Mind' and 'Prostate UK' An annual away weekend - sporting activities & social events Football club for men - not really a sports team for women at the reading office...

It is a great opportunity to train with one of the best financial service firms in the world surrounded by like-minded, supportive colleagues. Your future career will progress due to the appraisal process, driving people to get promotions and succeed. ACA qualification, you get to see many different types of business within audit which can open up your eyes to certain industries you may be interested in and want to work in at some point in the future.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?

Prepare for interviews well - don't give generic answers and don't answer with what you 'think' the interviewers want to hear. Stand out and be confident and professional - first impressions help. If you are currently studying at university, make it your priority to get an internship or a summer vacation scheme to gain work experience - it makes you stand out and provides needed experience.
