  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in Business Services, Lean and CI - MI team. In this department i deal with processing, analysing and managing information and building reports for customers/clients, mostly internally like for example i deal with the call centres complaint and queries logs. I have several responsibilities which include a set of tasks which i have to complete daily and ensure i meet the deadlines. In terms of projects i am currently working on the new perfomance management systems which has a roll out date of Jan 14, therefore currently i spend a lot of time on this.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Thoroughly enjoy the programme, actually enjoy going to work now, the balance of a learning/work placement personally works better for me as i was in education for 7 years straight so i particulary like the difference. I love the team members and am already building relationships with them, in terms of the work, its challenging and interesting at the same time which is another reason why i am enjoying my course!

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Meetings with my Training provider - BPP work based assesor every 4-8 weeks, keeps me up to date and know what i need to achieve by when, the first meeting was very unorganised but may be due to the fact that this is a new programme, but on the whole supports me and emails me to check if i am up to date and on top of my work load.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Line manager support is brilliant, we have weekly meetings to discuss anything and talk about anything concerning me, also for the apprenticeship workbooks he makes sure i have enough time to work through them and then will review them with me. My buddies are also extremely supportive and have guided me through my induction and continue to support me, any questions i have i am not affraid to ask them for help, they are very approachable.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Yes, travel takes me 10mins by car, althought it is a pain to park, it is cheaper that having to pay public transport costs unless i get on the free bus service. Pay is good concidering it is an apprenticeship and covers my living costs.
