  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to work with SEN students who need that extra support in lessons as well as working with teachers and colleagues to get classroom standards as high as possible.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt so many skills including working with children ages 11-18 and working with other members of staff in a professional setting that i have not yet experienced. Even if i do not continue with teaching these are skills i will take with me everywhere!

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My programme is adaptive and has molded itself perfectly with my day to day life in a school. i find myself doing assignments that have perfectly matched with the day i just had!

  • Very organised if you work with a tutor and keep on top of everything

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Lots. i have loads of different ways to touch base with people who employ me, and every time i reach out i am met with nothing but kindness and more support than i could imagine

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Lots - i get emails weekly about new opportunities and ways to get myself out into the world even more than i have

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My setting have agreed to hire me because of my new qualification which i never would have if it wasn’t for my training provider!

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There’s lots of sporting activities as well as social activities planned by the school committees

  • Yes

  • I have achieved so much in the last year and i am in a place mentally and financially that i couldn’t have dreamed of this time last year


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Inspire ATA Ltd.?
  • Make sure you stay in touch with everyone offering support to you as it goes a long way. No questions are too difficult and everyone will go out of their way to help you if you try your absolute best - this is the only thing anyone asks of you!
