  • As a Software Developer apprentice, my role consists of creating and testing high-quality code. At sky we use numerous programming languages and software development tools.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes as we learn a lot of different tech stacks Im learning a lot of new languages. And the languages that I knew prior, im now better at.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love it, especially in the environment I'm in at Sky. I feel like Im playing a game at times. As Im always problem solving and when finding the solution it feels like I'm completing something and going onto the next problem.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well organised. Both my apprenticeship organisers and Sky work hand in hand making our lives way easier by structuring a plan for our whole apprenticeship.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a load of support. At Sky there are so many people around you to help you through this process of completing your apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Im receiving a lot of support from my training providers. Any questions I have they're able to answer and I can always book a call with them if I need them urgently. They make time for me and the rest of the apprentices.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Everything about it is amazing, it doesnt feel like you're working an office job at times. This is because its more of a big community that are all willing to help each other to get a task done.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sky?
  • Be confident, Be yourself. Sky want to see your personality. Also show the willingness to learn!
