  • My role was in software distribution, this was a role that I felt I was very suited to as I had previous knowledge on the subject. On a day to day basis my tasks would differ depending on what kind of work was coming in.

  • I have learnt a lot of new skills and also developed existing skills that I had, not only skills that are in relation to my job but also skills such as communication and team work.

  • I very much enjoyed my programme and feel that through this apprenticeship I have got myself onto the career path that I have planned for.

  • I felt very valued by the company and my team. Everyone was very friendly and I felt a valued part of my team.

  • The scheme was very well organised and from the beginning felt that my learning and development was being monitored which helped me to improve.

  • My training providers were often difficult to contact at the start of my apprenticeship but these issues were quickly resolved

  • My employers were very supportive and made my time at IBM a very enjoyable one.

  • My scary met my needs very well, I had money left over each month that I was able to put into a savings account.

  • There were opportunities outside of work such as getting involved in local council initiatives and apprentice meetings.
