  • processing invoices and raising order numbers for jobs with out contractors. Also occasionally other tasks like gathering contact numbers from tenants from our software for the surveyors or contactors or organizing files

  • I have developed better skill when using Microsoft office as well as writing a well structured email and working as part of a team.

  • I enjoy the ability to sit down on a day to day basis and learn by doing a job and then use the skill and knowledge from work when doing my course work. the only downside is due the varying work load in my job I sometimes have a lot of works when I also have a lot of course work and it is not necessarily even

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • very well structured, i think. as the course work load has increased gradually as my experience has increased so i have been able top adjust accordingly and not been overwhelmed from the start.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Lots. I am able to ask for assistance from my whole team whether that be for inspiration on a task, to help me find information, or to proof read my work for me and give suggestion or criticism. i am also given sufficient time on a weekly basis to complete course work during work hours

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • monthly 1-2-1's with my tutor are helpful as I can easily understand the tasks being set and can freely ask questions during these. In addition being able to email my tutor in-between these sessions are good for any queries that arise while i am doing course work

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I find that is helps by giving me a better mindset when looking at my jobs. for example I am constantly thinking about how I would evidence my task and explain them as i would in my course work in additionally am more geared towards learning in role as this will make my course work easier.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • There are many benefits given to staff, the environment is friendly and welcoming and the abilty to work from home makes the job much less stressful.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to South Cambridge District Council?
  • Don't hesitate as the jobs are completive and sough after. Also bare in mind its not easy work and there is a lot to do but their are numerous strategies in place to help staff.
