  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I assist my team in the day-to-day data management, operations and visualisation requirements. The role is really varied and I have a say over the work I choose to do, as well as the teams I can work with.

  • I have learnt to use a whole range of new softwares and application, and developed my professional workplace skills. All colleagues have the opportunity to upskill in fields that interest them regularly.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy my programme and the opportunities it has presented me so far. I feel like a valued member of my organisation and there have been plenty of social opportunities too. I enjoy coming into work each day and feel I have made friends for life.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Overall it is very well organised, being the first cohort of this particular course at our workplace has had the occasional bump but they always listen to our feedback and endeavour to fix any issues immediately.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have my employer's full support, they are always advocating for us and are happy to assist us no matter how big or small our problem. Management has been fully committed to our success and happiness in the business.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Support has been varied, but with our feeback it has imporved significantly to date. We know who we can contact with any issues and for the most part, they have been receptive of this,

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has given me a deeper understanding of the how's and why's of my role that I would not have had without the training. It has given me new career paths to consider, and guided me in where I want to train further.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Plenty which are regularly shared through various platforms. We have a number of department-wide social events, and there are often fairs to advertise teams and clubs.

  • Yes

  • They are an incredibly supportive employer who go above and beyond to provide colleagues with opportunities to thrive. They take our personal lives and mental/physical health incredibly seriously, and learning opportunities are available at all levels.

  • Be yourself! They are incredibly inclusive, and want everyone to enjoy what they do and who they work with, and you will thrive best being who you are
