  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role consists of setting out all aspects of work being built on site, as well as creating permits and other various paperwork, i carry out health and safety tours, chair meetings and document completed work. i use high tech equipment to set things out and monitor different works.

  • i learned how to use lots of different high tech pieces of equipment to use while setting out and recording data. i learned how to write important documents and permits my professional skills have increased by chairing meetings and talking with other professional bodies

  • i really enjoy working for BAM and on the project i have worked on before

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • it is reasonable well structed, the work life and study time could be a little better and more organized in terms of when we are in college. as well as they could be a little more transparent about the length of the course when advertising it.

  • it gives me a lot more knowledge about the tasks i complete every day which allows me to completed them to a higher standard.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there are lots of social activates which are always fun, we hold engineering forums which are great for networking too

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • because they are at the top of their game and one of the biggest companies in the industry. they can and will invest in you and push you further in your career.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAM?
  • jump straight into it all. give everything a go and dont be scared to make mistakes at the beginning as your there to be taught what to do, your not expected to know it straight away.
