  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to analyse different business trends that will help the organization make informed decisions. On a daily basis i have to gather data which are very essential for my analysis. I am required to do to different departments to collect data and with the help of my mentor we will analyze these data to come up with a better view of the market.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, being an analyst you first need to have good communication skills, this helps during my presentation of my findings or during collection of data. I have also improved my computer s analysis skills since i have to use different software to help in data analysis. My analysis skills have also improved greatly compared to the first time i joined.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme a lot, it is fun when you are working with open minded people. Most employees are always ready to help in any position they can. I have also received great advice from them and the are more like a family than co workers. The opportunity to work with various professionals from different parts of the world is also a plus for me.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very organised, we have modules which enables us to learn in a systematic manner. This enables us to learn and grow slowly into the work. We also have great mentors who are always very ready to assist and show us the necessary skills that are important in our field of work.

  • My employer has been in the front foot in ensuring that we receive all the resources for learning. We have well equipped software that makes our job easier and fun. We also have other programmes which are meant to improve everyone of us as a person. My employer gives me the opportunity to bring out the best of me through guiding and i am very gratefull for it.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider has played a crucial role in organizing the programme and the modules for us. They also provide learning resources and any relevant information that will improve our skills. They are also playing an important role in preparing us for the assessment which is coming. Generally they are doing a great job.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification through my training provider has helped a lot in my work. Having a pool of learning resources has been very beneficial for me, Getting that needed support has enabled me to learn new things and improve my skills immensely. I am becoming a better business analyst daily and becoming a better analyst thanks to the support of my training provider.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are various extra curricular activities to take part in my place of work. we have had a chance to go camping which was very important in getting to know each other and it acted as an introduction to our work. We also get a chance to take part in different sporting activities of your own choice.

  • Yes

  • Amazon is one of the biggest organizations in the world and it has been in the market for quite a long time. Amazons always takes the best professionals and being around these people will make you better in your work. Amazon also pays decent salary to its apprentice making it a better place to work at.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Amazon?
  • Rake the first step by visiting their website and see what qualifications they require. Give your best in writing your application and highlight the real reason why you want join them, Getting a spot is always competitive and if you are chosen for the interview prepare well for it. Lastly believe in your abilities and go for it.
