  • As an insurance broker my day to day activities include asssesing clients insurance needs. I also happen to research on new policies that govern some insurance policies. On a daily I have yo take care of negotiations with insurance providers and providingvthe necessary quotes, i also clients in their claims and maintaining better relations with their providers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have. Improved my skills in communication. This is theough daily communications with clients, I have also developed my skills in languages such as french and german to be able to communicate with clients from diverse grounds and communities. Digital literacy is a skill that I have happened to develop and improve working at RSA Insurance. I have been exposed to various softwares and their operation policy.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my proggrame here. I am fully engaged to professional activities that really aid me in daily engagement with clients. I have got a chance to build long lasting relationships with different clients and colleagies at work. I am also aligned to tasks that truly align to my career.

  • The system at RSA is well organised and structured with a systematic approach to client interactions to the seamless coordination between departments. This allows for more efficiency as the clients are efficiently assessed based on their needs, suitable policies and provision of tailored solution to clients. This structured approach not only enhances our effectiveness but also instills confidence in our clients.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support that I receive from my employer has been commendable. I have experienced a strong sense of backing from the company's management. I have received support on various work areas, the best part of support has been on learning and development. The administration has been keen on instilling knowledge based on new and updated knowledge of the dynamic insurance landscape.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive much support from my training provider. The best part is on my trainers dedication to delivering quality and comprehensive programmes. These programmes are thoughtfully equipped with knowledge to help learners and those being trained on the importance of their field of work. Regular training sessions and workshops by the training provider have been some form of support that I do not take for granted.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The training has enhanced my performance in my day to day activities. The well structured training programmes have equipped me with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to excel in my role. The in depth understanding I have gained about insurance products, risk assessments and client management has empowered me to approach my tasks with a high level of expertise.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are few activities that help the organisation in the management of a vibrant community. This activities include workshops on industry trends, team- building events and knowledge sharing sessions. These activities have not only been beneficial in maintaining and improving my knowledge of the insurance field, but have also been instrumental in building a network with my fellow work colleagues.

  • I would truly recommend RSA insurance to a colleague who is willing to join. The unwavering commitment by the insurance to employ growth and development is truly commendable. Comprehensive training programmes, annual workshops and supportive learning environment equip employees with knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles. This has created a thriving atmosphere for employees to better their work experiences.

  • They should pay attention to detail as precision matters in insurance. They develop a keen eye for detail when reviewing policies, assessing risks and dealing with documents. They should also be good in solving problems. Insurance often involves handling complex situations and developing problem solving skills to efficiently handle and address client concerns and navigate the challenges.
