Visiting sites to check quality, reviewing drawings to relevant standards, catching up with clients on queries and project progress, negotiating valuations with QS', understanding defective works, preparing contract documents
Vastly improved my knowledge of construction technology and pathology, improved my communication skills, improved my analysis skills.
A lot
Very well organised. I know exactly what I should be doing at all times. consistent meetings to check in on progress and answer any queries.
Lots of support is received, lots of people in the company have been through the same qualification process, any queries I have are answered quickly
The university is slow and very poor at communication. Other than receiving lectures and the odd catchup with my support officer there is no other support.
Things that I learn at uni can be applied when im on site. I.e. learning a new construction process one day then the next day going on site and seeing that process in action.
Martin Arnold offer things like a 5-a-side football team, bike rides, and a variety of other things. Frequent social events throughout the year.
Yes
Very friendly and light-hearted working environment but encourage hard work. Tons of support and opportunities, wide range of different style projects to work on to gain experience.
Research the company and understand MA's values. Demonstrate and knowledge and passion for the construction industry.
