  • Visiting sites to check quality, reviewing drawings to relevant standards, catching up with clients on queries and project progress, negotiating valuations with QS', understanding defective works, preparing contract documents

  • Vastly improved my knowledge of construction technology and pathology, improved my communication skills, improved my analysis skills.

  • A lot

  • Very well organised. I know exactly what I should be doing at all times. consistent meetings to check in on progress and answer any queries.

  • Lots of support is received, lots of people in the company have been through the same qualification process, any queries I have are answered quickly

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The university is slow and very poor at communication. Other than receiving lectures and the odd catchup with my support officer there is no other support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Things that I learn at uni can be applied when im on site. I.e. learning a new construction process one day then the next day going on site and seeing that process in action.

  • Martin Arnold offer things like a 5-a-side football team, bike rides, and a variety of other things. Frequent social events throughout the year.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Very friendly and light-hearted working environment but encourage hard work. Tons of support and opportunities, wide range of different style projects to work on to gain experience.

  • Research the company and understand MA's values. Demonstrate and knowledge and passion for the construction industry.
