  • My job includes working on all phases of electrical system research, design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance. On a daily basis, this entails designing, testing, and constructing electrical circuits, electronic components, and systems; evaluating the precision and performance of electrical systems; programming and troubleshooting electronic systems; identifying and fixing faults in electrical and electronic circuits; making models and drawings of electrical systems; making sure that safety regulations are followed; staying current with new technologies; and creating reports.

  • Yes, I learn new skills and further develop existing ones throughout my careers. Here are a few examples- Emerging Technologies-I stay abreast of new technologies and trends in the field. Advanced Analysis and Simulation, I always enhance their skills in using advanced analysis and simulation tools. Communication and Collaboration, effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for me to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

  • My programme is highly organised and structured. I have a well-defined work schedule that outlines the tasks to be completed, the deadlines attached, the resources available and any changes or updates. The team is regularly updated on the progress of the work too, including project instructions and time frames. This structure helps me to keep up with the tasks at hand and deliver the project on time.

  • My employer offers me a lot of assistance, both in terms of technical direction and financial assistance. They want to invest in my growth and have given me the resources and training I need to become a top-notch engineer. Additionally, they continue to give me possibilities for professional growth while providing me with financial support in the form of a salary and benefits.

  • The training provider I work with has been incredibly supportive. They have given me access to a wide range of resources including textbooks and guidance to help me understand the electrical engineering concepts behind the qualifications. They also provide a great support network and are always there to answer any questions or queries I may have. Overall, they have given me the necessary support, guidance and advice to help me reach my qualification goals.

  • My qualification totally enhances my performance in this role. It has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the electrical engineering concepts, and this knowledge has been applied to a wide range of practical projects. Additionally, the training has also opened up new resources to help me with my day to day tasks, such as industry-specific computer aided design software. Moreover, the qualification has also improved my employability and helped me to acquire better work opportunities.

  • Yes, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at my workplace. Many of the electrical engineering teams take part in regular sports matches to encourage team bonding and socialising. Additionally, the company also often arrange professional networking events, which provide an opportunity to connect and engage with industry experts and potential clients. Finally, the company also runs a mentoring programme, which provides mentees with access to experienced professionals and offers valuable lessons and advice.

Finally, always be ready for the interviews and take the time to express how they would be an asset to the team.
