1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Completing substantive audit testing. This involves picking a sample for testing purposes and then agreeing invoices to the sample. Also complete stock counts where you attend a client site on your own and complete testing making sure that there records are correct.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes. I have learnt so much in the first year since being at Deloitte. It has also developed my confidence so much. In college I was always shy and HATED presentations however since joining in September 2012 I now want to do presentations, and recently presented to a number of high profile head teachers in the midlands area.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is absolutely awesome and will promote it as much as I can!

4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?

Deloitte make you feel like a person and not a number. The office is open plan and there is always someone who will answer your questions

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised. As it is in first few years and growing drastically, they are always asking where they could improve the programme for future intakes. Again making you feel valued!

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

A lot. There is support provided from inside Deloitte but also external by Kaplan.

A lot. They understand that you need to pass exams and ensures that support is there to pass.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Amazingly well!!

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

Yes. It is such a sociable job

9. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

Because in my opinion it is such a better route than going to University.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?

Complete the application form to the best of your ability because if you get a place you will never look back and wish you took a different route. My future has opened up so much since joining, in fact my future is a lot more clearer and I am excited for the endless possibilities ahead.
