  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I drive adt around the quarry taking from the wash plant to the stock yard I have also passed my ridged which I take from the quarry face to the intake for lhoist. I do pre start inspection checks and a look round after I have finished hand the key in and finish

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • From coming with know qualications to having my adt and my large, I hope to get my shovel and my dream is to get my 360 one day with only seven years left in the quarry I hope to get this before it closes so I can take my skills some where else

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • From being new to the industry I have learnt alot about it, they is alot to take in but I am enjoying it. I will always be learning new skills throughout this experience but I am looking forward to the future in quarrying or something else's completely looking forward to it

  • I think it been a good structure very informative, a lot of knowledge to take on board specially for someone how is new to the industry, everyone has been lovely. Getting the emails early so you know where you are food was OK. They was lots of support can always ask

  • They was plenty of support, everyone was willing to help was never scared to ask for help. Had one to one's to see how I was getting on with my manager.
