  • My apprenticeship is well structured and organised. They communicate with us regularly and my skills coach is always on hand if we need anything whilst we are not up in Manchester. When we go to Manchester, the days are very structured and cover everything we need to complete our assignments.

  • My training provider supports me with all the documents and links needed to be able to work independently as well as providing the taught information needed. When we go to Manchester university, the tutors are thorough and they provide contact details to catch up with them once we are home, they also hold classes close to deadlines.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Although my qualification theory relates directly to my role, the act of completing the assignments doesn't really make me any better in my role physically, it maybe clarifies understanding of why we do things the way we do, but it's not exactly teaching me anything new at the moment.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not really, we don't have any extra curricular activities in our workplace at the moment. We do hold events once or twice a year that are social events but aside from that we don't really have anything like that in place, it could be something to consider however.

  • 9a. Would you recommend McDonald's to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a great place to work, good environment and people are nice, there is lots of opportunity for progression and it allows people to be their authentic self, the company supports its people all the time and is always looking for new initiatives to be able to put their people first always.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • Apply with an open mind and when being interviewed speak from personal experiences, try not to think about the language used with questions and understand what the personal value the question is based around and answer according to that. The interview seems harder than it is due to the language and it's quite simple.
