  • I am a shift manager so I run shifts and work on the floor as we make and serve food to customers. I answer the phone read and send emails. Count money, order change. Train staff I've started to learn how to hire new people as well.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have learnt how to sort out a broken freezer and liaise with other companies to get temporary freezers in so we do not have to close the store. I have learnt about new products we are going to sell.

  • I am enjoying thinking about diversity and what we do to make sure we have a diverse working for us. I like my coach, she is very helpful.

  • It is very structured and there are step by step modules. I know where I am with the learning.

  • My employer is very supportive, she makes sure I have the time to do my learning and learn new parts of the business.

  • They are very good in keeping in touch and making sure I have everything I need.

  • It gives me the confidence in my knowledge of the business and how I can help make more profit and train the new starters that come into the store.

  • There are some like football, charity events, work events and nights out. We have these so many times a year to boost morale.

  • Yes

  • It is a great place to work and has really good flexibility and you can learn a lot from the people that work there and the opportunities that are available.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • Be honest and open about when you can work. Show your personality and never think you cannot do anything.
